WebNotably, whereas the weak interaction between the surface of bismuth oxyhalide and N 2 molecules makes it difficult for N 2 to be chemically adsorbed, the OVs generated by the cleavage of the Bi O bond greatly facilitate the adsorption of N 2 and increase the yield of N 2 conversion to NH 3.
