Phone screen goes black when answer call
WebAug 3, 2024 · During Phone Calls and some video calls, the screen will turn black if the front facing camera is blocked. It does this so you won't accidently press a button with your ear. If you need to see something on the screen during your call, uncover the front facing camera. It's not covering or uncovering the camera the causes the screen to go dark.

Releasing it should bring back the display. If the display doesn't return clean the sensor area with a tissue or microfiber cloth and see if it comes back.
